Visual Photo Academy (VPA) was established in 2016 by Altaf Qadri, an award winning photojournalist to help improve photographic education through effective hands-on teaching leveraging the experiences of accomplished photo-industry professionals. Teaching is conducted by the founders of the academy and also by esteemed colleagues from other sectors of the industry.

The Academy's mission is to provide both hobbyists and emerging professional photographers the opportunity to deep dive into the various genres of photography like street, portraiture, photojournalism, travel

and documentary photography with a strong emphasis placed on the acquisition of practical skills.

In addition to short and intensive workshops, long-term learning opportunities and mentorships are available as well.
